One of the first things an interested applicant needs to do is to find a Mentoring Lead Trainer who will act as their mentor.

How to locate a Mentoring Lead Trainer

The Mentoring Lead is the teacher trainer who will develop trainers-in-training (TNTs) from Intern through Professional level. It is important to know that Mentoring Leads are under no obligation to accept you. Not all Lead Trainers are approved to mentor TNTs. Please ask your proposed mentor if they are a qualified Mentoring Lead Trainer. Once a Lead Trainer has agreed to mentor you, talk about your goals and go over practical details with them. The documents below will provide guidelines for this first step and open the dialogue between Mentor and Mentee regarding expectations, financial agreement, time frame, concerns and other pertinent topics. Once you have acceptance from a Mentoring Lead Trainer, follow the steps described under Entry into the Academy tab.
